At Mount Canaan, we take our name from the biblical land of promise—Canaan, the inheritance God prepared for His people (Joshua 1:2–3). Just as Israel crossed into Canaan by faith, we believe the church today is called to walk into God’s promises with courage, holiness, and unity.
We are a traditional yet modern church, rooted in the unchanging Word of God while responding to the needs of a changing world.
Biblical Foundation: We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). Our preaching, teaching, and worship are grounded in Scripture and centered on Jesus Christ.
Heritage of Faith: Like the faithful who entered Canaan, we honor the traditions of prayer, worship, fellowship, and service that connect us to generations before us (Hebrews 12:1).
Modern Application: We embrace new opportunities and methods to reach souls, disciple believers, and serve our community, while never compromising the truth of the Gospel (1 Corinthians 9:22–23).
Mission of Hope: Mount Canaan is a place of promise, where broken lives are restored, families are strengthened, and the Good News of Christ is lived out in both word and deed (John 10:10).
At Mount Canaan, tradition gives us our roots, the Spirit gives us our power, and God’s promises give us our future.
